When scrolling through the Manali tour packages, a day off to the most popular Rohtang Pass is a must. Located 51 km away from Manali, you can reach the pass only by road. The pass is at a height of 3978 metres and as you go further on the Manali-Keylong road, the beauty of the landscape is sure to leave you awestruck.

You will need a mandatory Rohtang Pass permit to travel up to or beyond Rohtang. A visit to the pass costs around INR 500 along with an additional charge of INR 50 per person. Best Time to Visit

How to Reach

Most of the tourists stay in Manali and take a day off to visit Rohtang. There are no accommodation facilities in Rohtang. However, you may spot some budget hotels while going up the pass. HPTDC and HRTC run non-AC buses and deluxe AC buses. NH 21 connects Manali to Delhi and Chandigarh. You can also rent a car and enjoy the beautiful landscape with the river Beas flowing on one side of the road. Some people choose to ride their way to the pass in bikes.
